Tuesday evening around seven o’clock, I went to a badger’s grave with my friend Sussie. I had the camera gear with me just in case that I would be lucky to get a glimpse of the beautiful badgers. Nothing happened, and it was a challenge to sit quietly and wait, but the reward came right around 22.30 when a youth badger stuck his head up. The waiting time was definitely worth it because now it happened. One after another the mammals came from their grave and started to play and to sniff around and over the next hour, I had one of the most wonderful nature experiences. They tumbled around and sometimes there was a little sounds. There was virtually no light so I decided to turn off the camera and just enjoy this wonderful night with these interesting animals that you normally only see in glimpse on the way home in the car in the late evening.
