The interest in photography stems from Morten’s passion for nature. The fascination of nature and curiosity was also the driving force when Morten in 2005 went to Northeast Greenland for 26 months to serve at the Sirius Sledge Patrol. Together with his colleague and the 14 dogs he has been driven almost 10.000 kilometres with dogsled through the worlds biggest national park – Northeast Greenland.
He has since been in Greenland every year to work on his photo and nature preservation projects and his arctic photos has been awarded in the world’s most prestigious nature photo contests. Because of his experiences from the Arctic and his knowledge from the sledge patrol Morten has worked as a guide and expedition leader for other photographers and television production in the Northeast Greenland.
In Denmark Morten are mostly interested in the forests where nature is allowed to care for itself even though it is rare in this country. Morten’s choice of motives are very broad and includes both birds, mammals, landscapes and other natural wonders.
Morten is the founder of the nature preservation project Photo Camp which raises money for the nature preservation purposes. As an ambassador for the WWF Denmark Morten works to communicate the importance of our nature and through his photos and lectures he tries to make other people understand how wonderful the nature is and how important it is to take care of it.
