Arctic Fox
The Arctic winter is long and dark. In the Thule area the sun doesn't rise for more than 3 months in the dark season. While people stay inside the Arctic fox has nowhere to seek shelter except from underneath rocks and behind cliffs. It doesn't suffer though because the thick fur protects it from the extreme low temperatures and its amazing senses helps it to catch the lemmings. Sitting in front of a wild animal that shows more curiosity than fear is for me the feeling of reconnecting with nature.
