Red Squirrel
I love watching squirrels. They always seem so busy in their search for nuts and seeds and they are never satisfied with the amount of nuts they have hidden around in the forest – they always need just one more.
This little squirrel has discovered a woodpecker feeding spot, and as soon as the woodpecker is not present, the little red thief shows up to fill its mouth with as many sunflower seed it can fit in, and then it runs to the forest to hide the precious food.
These small, hidden depots will make it possible to survive the winter.
