Trustful Jay
Jays belongs to the crow family. They are intelligent birds which makes them very interesting to observe but also hard to photograph since they are often very shy. Just like ravens, crows and other birds in this family they spend a lot of time observing their surroundings, and they can recognise and distinguish peoples faces. They will quickly learn if a person is a threat or one that brings out food for them.
This jay is aware of my presence but because it has never had bad experiences near the photo blind, it feels comfortable feeding very close to me.
