White Wings
When I woke up in the morning, I could instantly see something was different in the room. It was the light. It was much brighter than it normally is. I turned my head and looked out the window, and what a sight. Everything outside was covered in snow – this is very unusual in Denmark. Out of bed, breakfast, making coffee, packing the photo bag and then off to the meadow nearby.
I have often seen the whooper swans in this area and as I was getting closer, I crossed my fingers for my luck.
And the luck was in my favour - what a magnificent landscape.
As I was sitting there in the snow, having my coffee, I could hear flying swans. The air was full of ice crystals, and I could barely see the white birds as they were passing me with their melodic sound and all their elegance and beauty.
