Grip of Winter

It is winter on the small, protected island. I have been searching for badgers the entire day, but at this time of the year they are in the den most of the time. Every so often they come out to visit the toilet or to have a snack, and it was my hope to capture this behavior. Luck was not in my favor though.
I decided to walk home to the small cabin that is my home when I am visiting this island, and on my way, I can see how the small birds searching for seeds in the vegetation. I sit down to observe them, and it seems like they are a bit curious. One of them are getting closer – a blue tit. How beautiful it is. A tiny bit of yellow and blue in the middle of all the white.
